About Portslade Dental Centre

Emmanuel graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2000.

Emmanuel was one of the original partners who established Portslade Dental Centre in 2002 and is entering his 10th year of service at the practice. He has an interest in implant dentistry and removable prosthetics, and is the certified provider of Invisalign at our practice. Emmanuel is married with 2 young children with a third on the way, which keep him on his toes outside of work. He also enjoys playing football and passionately pursues the study of Greek language, culture and history.

Chris graduated in 2002 as a dental surgeon from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece.

He has worked at Portslade Dental Centre since 2003 and is very popular with his patients. His particular interests are restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Outside of work Chris enjoys going to the gym and socialising.

Dr Georgios Grigoriou graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki - Greece in 2003.

He has worked as an associate at Portslade Dental Centre since April 2005. Georgios completed the "Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice" course at the Eastman Dental Institute in 2008. He enjoys both playing and watching football, and is a passionate fan of his hometown team, PAOK Salonika.

Dr Elisavet Charpidou graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki - Greece in 2004

She joined the team at Portslade Dental Centre in September 2009 after working for 4 years at our sister practice in Crawley. She enjoys going to the gym, reading and socializing in her spare time.

Becky qualified as a dental hygienist from Kings College in 1996.

Since then she has continued in her professional development and become an extended duties hygienist. She has worked in 2 award winning practices and has also been nominated for the "hygienist of the year" award. Becky has worked at Portslade Dental Centre since 2002 and is a highly motivated and dedicated team member. Her interests include photography, drawing, cooking and keeping fit.

Raine has worked at Portslade Dental Centre since February 2005.

She holds the position of senior nurse. Her role includes the chairside assistance of the dentist, training new members of staff and stack management. She is also experienced in assisting the specialist endodontist and the placement of implants. She holds an NVQ in communications and is the qualified first-aider at the practice. Raine is also the registered Infection Control Champion and is responsable for implementing these protocols throughout the practice. She is qualified in the application of topical fluoride which allows her to treat patients directly and also provide dietery/oral hygiene advice.

Anna has worked at Portslade Dental Centre since February 2008.

As well as holding a Masters Degree in English, she is a fully qualified dental nurse. She is currently studying to become an Oral Health Educator. Ann is responsable for the day-to-day runiing of the practice and also organises oral health sessions in local schools and nurseries.

Maria joined the practice in 2009 and holds the position of Senior Receptionist.

Maria holds a basic first aid certificate and has attended several workshops on patient customer care. She is also the practice's Child Protection Lead. Maria enjoys the diversity that her position brings and is keen to offer a friendly welcome to all our patients, old and new. Outside of work Maria is happiest spending her free time catching up with family and friends.

"Working in a very busy practice at times can be very challenging, however its important to me that our patients are greeted in a warm and friendly manner either by telephone or in person, and that our reception team offers good service and quality customer/patient care."

Natalie has worked in reception and administration for 9 years, 2 and a half of which have been spent in our dental practice as a receptionist.

Natalie also has the responsability of organising the endodontist referral system at our practice. Since working here she has gained an NVQ Level 2 in customer care. She really enjoys working at the practice and has acquired extensive dental knowledge. Her interests include jewellery and card making. She also enjoys taking her dog, Pippy, on long walks.
